cutting out gasoline powered cars by 2035... Is this realistic, YES!  It could be done by 2025 if we wanted.  I think the reason it will take so long is so that the manufacturers will have time to adjust their tooling, marketing, and distribution so they don't see a loss of income.  I am convinced that everything these days is all about the money, and we can't have any of the large corporations losing money.  In fact, I really don't think it's Gavin Newsom that is putting that into place.  I mean yes, hes is, but not without the auto manufacturers approving first.  And the reason it's starting California??  Because history says that if California adopts something, it is more likely to spread throughout the country.  CA is very influential as well as a huge part of the US economy,  so start with the bigs, and let it trickle down to the smalls. As far as class discussion,  I am sorry Larry, but I was tending to clinic as i was needed...

Quiz 4

  1. “The banana equivalent dose is the radiation exposure received by eating a single banana” How helpful a tool is this, in your opinion?  Not very helpful at all in my opinion.   Where was that particular banana grown?  Pesticides?  What kind of banana is it?  What did it go through in terms of shipping and handling before it was eaten or measured for the radiation? 2. “….there’s nothing to suggest 5G mm Wave is a significant health risk” (Is 5G dangerous?) Are you convinced?  I am not entirely sure on this one,  I think some of it may be hype, some of it may be true.  So we are now going to be blasting a new frequency all around the world, that they say is safe, but who is they?   Haven't we seen cancer increases as technology increases?  Are there any real longer term studies of what this does to our bodies?  In my mind, these tech giants that pushing the edge of all this stuff constantly are just getti...

Self reflection

My thoughts on today's class....  I have really enjoyed every class we have had so far and i love the diverse group that we have also.  I really enjoy hearing the other points of view, the way we agree on certain topics (vaccines) and hearing someone express themselves.  the breakout rooms are wonderful for the size of the class, and having those mixed up every week is wonderful as well.  I get to talk to people that, given the current social stuff going on, might never have been able to have these talks with other people.  Whether they are like minded or not, these are all good people who are sacrificing their time and lives for the betterment of others, and that is commendable.

As far as thte discussion in class, i like that most people are on the same page when it comes to the covid treatments and vaccines.  especially the vaccines.  In that everyone is a bit weary about it.  I was also bouncing back and fourht between clinic and discussion because i had to do an intake. Misophonia - have I ever come across it,  of course, I have it.  I would say that everyone has it at some point or to some degree.  For some it's chewing noises, for others it's the knuckle cracking or possible tapping on something.  By how intense the feeling is I would say depends on the persons energy or mood.  Or maybe some just waling around wanting to kill people that sneeze near them?  who knows?  But i do think that at some point, everyone will experience some form of misophonia.

quiz 3

  1. “Researchers estimate 150 cases should be enough to prove that a vaccine is at least 50% effective. The large number of volunteers in each study is an effort to make sure those 150 cases occur as rapidly as possible.” (Why Tens Of Thousands Of People Are Key To Testing A COVID-19 Vaccine) Are you reassured by this approach?   I think that this is a terrible approach to trying to validate a vaccine for the masses.  150 people is nowhere near the amount of people needed to test, much less get ready for distribution to the general public throughout the nations of the world.  there is nowhere the needed variety of bodies and body types to say that it is approved or effective.  What about allergies and immunological disorders?  What about diabetics alone?  There are so many variations of so many pre-existing diseases that saying that just because it worked for 150 people, actually, make that at least 75 people, that it is good for 75 million, ...
